Our name and marks.

Talk about ATON freely. Just never make it look like we made, back or sell something we did not.

You can use the ATON and Atheron names to talk about the project, accurately and fairly, and the logos as the brand page shows them. Never use them in a way that suggests we made, back or sell something we did not, and never to name a coin or token.

01Our marks

The names Atheron and ATON, the ATON ticker, the Atheron wordmark, and the logos on the brand page identify the project and Atheron Network Inc., which uses them as its trademarks. In this policy they are called our marks.

02What you can do

Without asking us, you can:

  • name ATON and Atheron in articles, reviews, research, videos and tutorials;
  • link to this site, using the name or an unaltered logo from the brand page;
  • say your software works with ATON, when it does, in words like "for ATON" or "works with ATON";
  • show the logo to illustrate the project, as the brand page shows it.

03What needs our permission

Ask us first, in writing, before you:

  • use our marks in the name of a product, company, app, domain, account or event;
  • put our marks on anything you sell, such as clothing or stickers;
  • change a logo, or combine it with your own.

04What is never allowed

Never use our marks to name, sell or promote a coin or token, on any network. Anybody offering ATON before launch is not us.
  • Suggesting we made, approved, back or partner with you, your product or your project, when we do not.
  • Pretending to be us: accounts, support desks, sites or messages that look like ours.
  • Domains or names made to be mistaken for ours.
  • Using our marks in anything misleading, unlawful or hateful.

05Showing the logos

  • Use the files from the brand page, as they are.
  • Do not stretch, recolour, rotate or add effects to them.
  • Leave clear space around them, and keep them large enough to read.
  • Keep them apart from your own logo, so nobody reads the two as one.

06Code and forks

The licence of our open code covers the code. It gives no right to use our marks. If you publish a changed version of our software, give it a name of your own, and you may say it is based on ATON.

07Reporting misuse

Tell us about misuse of our marks: legal@aton-network.org

We may ask for misuse to stop, and take further steps where the law allows.

08Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we publish a new version with its date. Earlier versions stay readable on this page.
